The 911 Speedster already caused a sensation when it was presented as a concept vehicle. Now Porsche is putting the open-top two seater into production. The Porsche 911 Speedster combines the aspiration of a puristic, driver-oriented vehicle with motor sports technology suitable for everyday use. The 911 R (2016) and 911 GT3 served as a basis for development. A high-revving 375 kW (510 PS) four-litre naturally aspirated boxer engine delivers an emotive sound experience in the cockpit. The six-speed GT transmission is shifted manually. Visually, the new Speedster establishes a bridge to its own history - to the forebear of all Porsche sports cars, the 356 "No. 1" Roadster from 1948. The limited edition of the new 911 Speedster is also reminiscent of this vehicle. Exactly 1,948 units will be manufactured from mid-2019 at the Porsche plant in Zuffenhausen, Germany.As a concept vehicle, the 911 Speedster celebrated its world premiere in 2018 at the ceremony for the "70 Years of Porsche Sports Cars" anniversary in Zuffenhausen. Other public appearances followed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Rennsport Reunion VI in Laguna Seca, California as well as the Paris Motor Show in October. Numerous Speedster elements that characterise the concept vehicle can now be found in the same or similar design on the series production model.Taking centre stage is the aesthetically shaped convertible top compartment lid with its double-bubble streamliners - a quintessential feature of this sports car type ever since the 911 Speedster from 1988. It is the largest and most complex component to date that Porsche has used in a road model made of a single piece of carbon-fibre reinforced plastic. Two trim elements in the double bubbles make room for the roll-over protection system as need, included in the two-seater as a standard feature just like in the 911 Carrera Cabriolet.
The turbocharged three-litre flat-six in the new 911 GTS delivers 353 kW (480 PS). Maximum torque is 570 Nm, an increase of 20 Nm over its predecessor. Zero to 100 km/h takes just 3.3 seconds (911 Carrera 4 GTS: Fuel consumption combined (NEDC) 10.5 – 9.7 l/100 km, Fuel consumption combined (WLTP) 11.4 – 10.6 l/100 km, CO₂ emissions combined (NEDC) 240 – 222 g/km, CO₂ emissions combined (WLTP) 259 – 240 g/km) in the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupé with the eight-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK): three tenths faster than its predecessor. A seven-speed manual transmission with a particularly short throw is available for all 911 GTS models as an alternative to the PDK.

The Porsche 911 Turbo has been the quintessential high-performance sports car with everyday usability for the past 45 years. Following the market launch of the 911 Turbo S, the next generation 911 Turbo Coupé and Cabriolet are now being introduced – even more powerful, even faster and even more individual. Thanks to their 427 kW (580 PS) engines, 30 kW (40 PS) more than their predecessors, both model variants dip under the magic three second 0-100 km/h mark with a time of 2.8 seconds (0.2 seconds faster). 750 newton metres of torque (up 40 Nm), now without an overboost time limit, make quick sprints even more spontaneous and effortless. Acceleration, power output and torque of the new 911 Turbo therefore all match those of the previous generation 911 Turbo S. Power transmission is performed by an eight-speed PDK gearbox with a Turbo-specific set-up while its top speed remains unchanged at 320 km/h. Options such as the Sports and Lightweight Design packages, sports chassis and sports exhaust system are available for the 911 Turbo for the first time. As a result, customers will be able to adapt their vehicle even more to their individual tastes.
911 series welcomes a new member: Porsche is expanding its eighth-generation range with the Porsche 911 Carrera. The new sports car is being launched as a Coupé and Cabriolet, and generates 283 kW (385 PS) from its 3.0-litre, six-cylinder boxer engine with biturbo charging. The Carrera is the entry-level 911 model and offers 11 kW (15 PS) more power output than its predecessor did. It shares its premium-quality standard features virtually unchanged from the 911 Carrera S. These include the high-quality interior with 10.9-inch touchscreen display, comprehensive connectivity and also innovative assistance systems like the Porsche Wet Mode that ensures even safer handling on wet roads. The Porsche 911 Carrera is distinguished by smaller dimensioned wheels and brakes and the individual tailpipe covers on the exhaust system.
