Kandahar Oct 15 (EFE / EPA).- Several worshipers died and many others suffered injuries in a powerful explosion that ripped through a Shia mosque in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar during Friday prayers, officials said.The official feared that the death toll was likely to increase.The blast took place in the city's Imam Bargah mosque and came days after a suicide bombing claimed by Islamic State on a Shia mosque in the northern city of Kunduz killed 80 and wounded about 100 people. Kabul, Oct 3 (EFE/EPA).- At least two civilians were killed and three were wounded on Sunday in a blast near a mosque in in the Afghan capital Kabul where a prayer ceremony was being held for the death of the Taliban spokesperson's mother.“Our initial information suggests at least two people martyred and three people injured in today’s blast,” Taliban Interior Ministry spokesman, Qari Saeed Khosty told Efe, adding that the information was still preliminary and the death toll could change in the coming hours.The attack took place shortly after 4pm local time near the entrance of the Eid Gah mosque, where many civilians had gathered.
