Tech giant Apple Inc is hitting its customers with big news back to back as it struggles to fight plummeting iPhone sales. After announcing its new streaming service Apple+, the company announced it has partnered with Goldman Sachs on a credit card done the Apple way: minimalist, titanium and laser-etched, and focused on privacy and security. Gizmodo reports Apple Card makes it simple for users to track their spending in-app, while also using machine learning and Apple Maps to color-code by categories and locations, which Apple will serve up in weekly and monthly user-specific reports. On the privacy front, Apple says that it will never track what cardholders buy, where they buy it, or how much they paid.

Goldman Sachs Lands GM's $2.5 Billion Business

Ramin Talaie/Corbis/Getty Images Goldman Sachs won the bid for General Motors' credit-card business for roughly $2.5 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. The Wall Street giant beat out Barclays, acquiring more than one million GM cardholders and the $8.5 billion they spend annually, according to The Wall Street Journal. This is Goldman Sachs' second co-branded card, following the Apple Card, as it looks to expand its consumer-lending business. The bank recently shuffled its organizational structure to create a new standalone consumer division that includes its Marcus lending unit.
