US President Donald J. Trump has repeatedly undermined Dr. Anthony Fauci's assessments and guidance about the coronavirus pandemic. Now, Business Insider reports Fauci admitted Tuesday that his experience serving in the Trump administration has been 'somewhat awkward.' It's not a happy day when you have to get up in front of national TV and contradict something that the President of the United States says. I take no pleasure in that at all. With just a few days left in the year, alarm bells are going off among health officials. Many are worried about the slow effort to administer doses of Covid-19 vaccine by the end of the year. The federal government's Operation Warp Speed had promised much more than it provided. It promised that 20 million doses would be administered before January 1, says CNN. December 2020 is now the deadliest month of the pandemic. Anthony Fauci said the pandemic will most likely get worse over the next few weeks due to high holiday travel.

Trump's chief complaint with the bill is that it called for the renaming of military bases named after Confederate military figures. The must-pass, $741 billion bill was passed with widespread bipartisan support. According to Business Insider, Bolton told Trump to 'get out of the way,' and said Trump was 'not a conservative.' Trump's former national security adviser also described Trump's 'destructive' veto as a 'purely gratuitous action' and 'selfish.' There's very little you can do to repair your reputation, but for God's sakes, get out of the way of the national security of the US and get out of the way of our efforts to overcome the pandemic.
