The Signatech Alpine Matmut team concluded the 24 Hours of Le Mans Test Day with the third best time in LMP2. Focused on discovering the Michelin tyres on the Circuit de la Sarthe and looking for the perfect setups, Nicolas Lapierre, André Negrão and Pierre Thiriet completed 71 laps. The FIA WEC LMP2 leading trio will be back on track on Wednesday June 12 for the first free-practice and qualifying sessions.

  • 2021 Alpine A480 - Test Sessions on the Motorland circuit

    Alpine has a great track record in endurance racing and is now taking on the challenge of entering the top category of the FIA WEC and the 24H of Le Mans 2021.Like its commitment to Formula 1, this new project in endurance racing demonstrates the ambition of Alpine, a brand born from competition, for competition.Approved by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the Alpine A480, the prototype is built on an Oreca chassis and powered by a 4.5-litre V8 supplied by Gibson Technology. It is fitted with Michelin tyres, in accordance with the regulations of the Hypercar class.The A480 will be driven by three experienced endurance drivers, Nicolas Lapierre, André Negrão, and Matthieu Vaxiviere. The race team will be managed by Philippe Sinault, Team Principal, as has been the case since 2014 with numerous successes in the LMP2 class.

  • Porsche Marrakesh Rookie Test, Highlight Clip, 2019/2020 ABB FIA Formula E Championship

    A day after the Marrakesh E-Prix, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team took part in the official rookie test for the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. Porsche works driver Frédéric Makowiecki (FR) and test and development driver Thomas Preining (AT) took to the track for the first time in the Porsche 99X Electric on Sunday. In the two three-hour sessions, they completed a total of 172 laps on the 2.971-kilometre track in Marrakesh (MA) and provided the team with valuable insights. In the race on Saturday, Porsche works driver André Lotterer (DE) finished in eighth place; Neel Jani (CH) crossed the finish line in 18th place.
