It's been 50 years since the Apollo 11 Moon landing and Krispy Kreme wants to help you celebrate the legendary moment in U.S. history with a doughnut. According to Geek.com, the doughnut maker is offering a new creme filled glazed doughnut that is a twist on the brand’s iconic original glazed. “As America prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, we want to give our fans a new taste experience". Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena Hungry doughnut lovers can choose between the "Classic Kreme" and "Chocolate Kreme" Original Glazed Doughnut. On June 22, aka National Doughnut Day, Krispy Kreme will hand out free "Kreme Filled" Glazed to 1 million lucky customers (one per guest).
