Rescuers intensify an increasingly desperate hunt for four South Korean trekkers and three Nepalis swept away by an avalanche in the Himalayas as a guide tells how he saw people carried off by the snow.
Avalanches, heavy snow and poor visibility is hampering the search for four South Koreans and three Nepalis caught in an avalanche in the popular Annapurna region of the Himalayas, officials said. Images of the airport and reaction from a guide who managed to get a group to safety but said that the conditions were "scary".
Six tourists have been killed and scores of people injured in a quick and violent storm that hit Northern Greece on Wednesday night. Thomas Waterhouse reports.
