France Says Russia Should Only Target ISIS, Not Assad

Description

In Paris, French Foreign Minister said Russian Air Strikes must target only the Islamic State. The Foreign Minister was responding to questions about the recent Russians raids on opposition groups in the north of the country. Moscow has been accused of targeting Western-backed rebel groups fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and not ISIS. A spokesman for the foreign minister said the air strikes "must only target the destruction of The Islamic State." France has tried to intervene diplomatically between Turkey and Russia over Turkey's downing of a Russian Plane. But tensions have only increased since the intervention.
