Under the supervision of his giant panda mom Mei Xiang, Bei Bei takes his first steps at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington. Jennifer Davis reports.
Mei Xiang, Washington DC National Zoo's female giant panda, gave birth to a cub and is caring for it, the zoo announces. "Mei Xiang picked the cub up immediately and began cradling and caring for it," the Zoo staff said in a statement. IMAGES
