Star Wars has recently pulled in some of the biggest names in fashion— everyone from Uniqlo to Diane von Furstenberg. And female fans finally get to rejoice. Star Wars: The Clone Wars voice actress Ashley Eckstein recalls, “We [women] were lucky to get t-shirts made for us five years ago." Eckstein was working on the animated television series when she spotted a gap in the market for female-oriented Star Wars products five years ago. Half of all Star Wars fans are women, and Eckstein created Her Universe to design fashionable clothing exclusively for fan-girls. Now, female Star Wars fans can chose from lightsaber skirts, C3PO ballet-flats, and Darth Vader cape dresses in sci-fi fashion lines this season.
