Chonburi, Oct 1 (EFE/EPA).- Thailand celebrated its annual Chonburi Buffalo Racing Festival on Thursday with around 300 buffaloes thundering down the track to roaring cheers from the crowd.Divided into categories according to size, the buffaloes raced throughout the day, with some jockeys taking a spill.The festival is held every October by farmers to celebrate the rice harvest and mark the end of the Buddhist Lent, according to an epa-efe reporter.It dates back more than 140 years and is thought to be the only one of its kind in the world.The colorful festival also includes a decorated buffalo beauty contest, horse parade, wagon parade and music and food.The seaside city of the province of the same name is located about 80 kilometers (50 miles) southeast of Bangkok. Bangkok, Nov 2 (EFE).- Bangkok Arts Biennale, a Thai capital's bi-annual art festival, returned for the second time this year, featuring 82 artists with over 200 artworks exhibited at ten different venues across the city.Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, Japanese conceptual artist Yoko Ono, British sculptor Anish Kapoor and filmmaker John Akomfrah are among the artists who showcase their works at the event, which is scheduled to run until Jan. 31, 2021.
