This is not a Christmas fairy tale, but a vision of an automotive future. The Audi grandsphere concept shows how Audi is shaping the future, what may one day be technically possible. When automated driving gives you more time for new experiences on the road. Not just for Santa.
Jaguar Land Rover has taken another step towards a new era of electrification and connectivity by opening a facility to test the next generation of vehicles for electrical and radio interference. The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) laboratory at Gaydon in the UK, will ensure future vehicles meet current and future legislation and quality standards for connectivity and electronics. New Range Rover Sport, which launched in May, was the first vehicle to undergo a bespoke testing programme at the in-house facility.A critical aspect of vehicle performance, EMC is the ability of electrical equipment and systems to function correctly in their electromagnetic environment. It works by limiting the unintentional generation, propagation and reception of electromagnetic energy to reduce the risk of unwanted effects such as electromagnetic interference.
Safety and customer satisfaction come first at Audi. They are part and parcel of the success of the company with the four rings. In that context, light technology is steadily growing more important and creating a wider range of possibilities and perspectives, from added safety for the driver, to external communication and individualization. Systematic light digitization is making all of this possible. It is particularly visible in the new Audi A8: the forward-looking Digital Matrix LED headlights and digital OLED rear lights raise the customer experience to a whole new level: for the first time in any Audi model, light is completely digitized. The car can be individualized even further through its digital OLED rear lights. The Digital Matrix LED headlights also include three new functions: advanced traffic information, a lane light with direction indicator lights on highways, and an orientation light on country roads. These features not only demonstrate Audi’s “Vorsprung durch Technik,” they also add value.
Elegant. Progressive. #FutureReady. At the IAA 2021, Audi is presenting the Audi grandsphere concept study. The private jet for the road combines the luxury of private travel in the greatest of comfort with a comprehensive onboard experience offering. Level 4 automated driving makes new dimensions of freedom possible: the front seats become a first class lounge and the interior a new world.
With the presentation of the Audi grandsphere concept, Audi is daring to take a particularly bold look into the somewhat distant future of mobility. The vehicle offers a glimpse of a new luxury model in which the interior evolves into a new living environment and sustainability is key. It is the automotive proof that Audi is already #FutureReady today.
