The BBC's Director-General Tim Davie is dedicated to investigating the circumstances of a notorious 1996 interview with Princess Diana. In it, Princess Diana spoke with journalist Martin Bashir and lifted the lid on her failed marriage with Prince Charles. The documents suggested the palace staff were working against Princess Diana and being paid to spy on her. Matt Weissler was a graphic designer for BBC at the time. He admitted to mocking up bank statements at Bashir's request. Buckingham Palace was allegedly 'blindsided' by the interview. A retired senior judge will lead the BBC probe.
