Tegucigalpa (Honduras), 25 Mar, EFE, (Camera: Uriel Gudiel).- The Honduran government began delivering 800,000 food rations on Wednesday in a house-to-house campaign to help 3.2 million poor people affected by the quarantine measures set up to try and stop the spread coronavirus, which has 36 positive cases. The food delivery began in Tegucigalpa, the country's capital, and is being carried out by the military and elements of the Honduran National Police, with support from churches and members of civil society. The world’s largest plate of nachos was presented at an event called ‘Noche of Nachos’, organised with the city of La Cruces and New Mexico Department of Agriculture. A 2,282kg (5,030 lb) plate of tortilla chips, spiced up with lotte cheese, minced meat, vegetables and salsa sauce was served up to locals. 200 portions were donated to a local homeless charity.
