Malawi opposition party leader presents candidature for election rerun

Lazarus Chakwera, leader of the main opposition Malawi Congress Party, presents his candidature at the electoral commission for elections scheduled for July 2nd. The results of the country's last election were annulled by the Constitutional Court in February 2020, citing widespread irregularities including the "massive" use of correction fluid on tally sheets.
