Former French PM sentenced to prison over fake jobs scandal

Former French Prime Minister François Fillon and his wife were found guilty Monday of fraud in a trial linked to the creation of fake jobs, a scandal that brought down the prime minister’s presidential ambitions. FRANCE 24 senior reporter Catherine Norris-Trent says Fillon was sentenced to five years in prison, three of which are suspended.
