Smart factory employees protest possible French factory closure

Around 300 employees at the Smart factory in Hambach in eastern France symbolically stop work while an extraordinary social and economic committee (CSE) is held. The German group Daimler announced last Friday its intention to sell the factory, where production of Mercedes models was due to begin in the autumn. IMAGES
