French economy secretary visits a Smart factory that Daimler seeks to sell

French Secretary of State for Economy and Finance Agnès Pannier-Runacher arrives at a Smart factory in Hambach, France where she is meant to meet with union representatives. Citing financial hardship related to Covid-19, the German group Daimler, which owns Mercedes and Smart, announced in July their desire to sell the factory that employs some 1,600 people. IMAGES
