Finally, a French magazine comes under fire for its choice of front page - a rocker who was convicted of killing his wife.
The Executive Director of Uganda's most prominent rights organisation Chapter Four, and the Chairperson of the Citizens’ Coalition for Electoral Democracy (CCEDU), react to the Ugandan government's decision to close down 54 civil society groups. The shutdown was ordered "with immediate effect", the National Bureau for NGOs, part of the ministry of internal affairs, said in a statement.
Right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh has deactivated his Twitter account. Limbaugh's choice to step off Twitter follows the permanent suspension of President Trump's account by the company. Limbaugh is one of a handful of high-profile Trump supporters who closed or lost their Twitter accounts following the Capitol Hill insurrection. Twitter has also suspended the accounts of Trump's former national security advisor Michael Flynn, pro-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell, and Ron Watkins. Business Insider reports Limbaugh has praised the rioters as being in the same class as Revolutionary War heroes Thomas Paine and Samuel Adams.
Twitter has highlighted two posts by the incumbent president for the permanent move saying they were in violation of the platform's Glorification of Violence Policy.
