With the Škoda Smart Dials, the Czech car manufacturer is implementing the combination of haptic and digital controls in a completely new way. The new generations of Kodiaq and Superb have three knobs below the infotainment display, each with a 32 millimeter digital display. They enable quick access to numerous vehicle functions available depending on the equipment level. The driver and front passenger use the two outer smart dials to regulate the interior temperature, seat heating and seat ventilation - the display shows the active function in each case. The middle Smart Dial controls up to four user-selected functions such as infotainment volume, fan level, air vent direction, smart air conditioning, driving modes and map zoom. The central smart dial can be configured via the infotainment system menu; the user switches between the functions of the button by holding it down for a longer period of time.
