Description

Lisbon (Portugal), 14 Nov (EFE) (Camera: Carlos García).- Iván Jaime, the 20 year old footballer from Spain, reveals in an interview with EFE how coffee and confinement changed his life for good. However, in the midst of the confinement, his agent informed him that the Portuguese Famalicão, which was on the verge of entering Europe this season, was interested in hiring him. Despite the fact that he had a contract with Malaga until 2022.INTERVIEW WITH IVAN JAIME, FOOTBALLER:Question: The beginnings of soccer.Answer: I started in the team of the neighborhood next to my house, in Robaluz, and in alevin I went to the rival, which was the Conejitos, where I was 2 years. Then I was signed up by Malaga, where I spent 8 years.Question: Coaches of Malaga. With all of them its great. There was one who made a mark on me, David Cabello, who I was with in cadets. I started out with him very badly, in the pre-season, and I ended up playing everything and thanks to him I learned a lot. I learned to move in the center of the field, to know how to receive and to play with few touches. I played several games with Atlético Malagueño when I was a freshman and then I started with the team when I was 17, in 2nd B. It was a hard season, we had a hard time, we had a hard time and I learned a lot to get experience. I remember that Ruano made me debut with the Malagueño, there I coincided with players like Ontiveros or En-Nesyri. In the following season I started with Deli Valdés, I was 17 years old and I played almost everything.Q: Souvenirs at Malaga CF.A: The official debut at La Rosaleda. I decided to leave the club because I had only played two or three games with the first team and I saw this unique opportunity (to sign with Famalicão). I wanted to come here at all costs and I was struggling to get out, I wanted to come without a doubt.Q: How did the signing take place?A: I got a call from my agent in the lockup and he told me that a top-notch team from Portugal wanted to buy me. And I said, "Are you kidding me?" And I was very happy. From then on, after the confinement, the second division resumed in Spain, I was with the first team and I didn't play much and I already knew that I was going to come to Portugal next season. Through the pre season we were in negotiations with the Famalicão and, the truth, it was a little hard everything in general to be able to come here because I had contract with the Málaga until 2022. I was fascinated by the team, how they played and the season they had, that they stayed to nothing of entering Europe.Q: I was training in the hall during the first wave of covid.A: The confinement was bad for many people, but for me it was a change in my life because I started with a nutritionist and a personal trainer and every day I trained in the morning and the confinement changed me for the better. I realized how important nutrition is, at home I got beaten up a lot and I noticed that I was recovering faster and in the pre-season I was flying. I went to sleep very early, woke up early and had a daily routine.Q: Meals.A: I hydrate to myself a lot and throughout the day too. Other tricks, there aren't many, I started drinking coffee, which I never drank, and I noticed it, especially at the beginning. Yes, recommended by the nutritionists, it activates you quite a bit, I had never taken it before and when I started I noticed that I was more active, I perceived everything faster, more agile in my mind and in that the coffee helps you quite a bit. Q: Studies.A: I tried, but I quit when I was younger. I tried to study in the afternoon, but it was very difficult and I focused on soccer one hundred percent.Q: The arrival in FamalicãoA: From the very first moment I was received with great enthusiasm. The people at the club were very friendly and I felt very good, as if I had been here for two or three years. I was surprised at how professional Famalicao's club is. Every day you have to weigh yourself twice, every week you have to check your urine and that surprised me a lot. Much more gym than in Spain and I have gained 2 or 3 kilos of muscle mass. At first it was difficult and then it was very good.Q: Headline in the last two matches.A: The coach has always given me a lot of peace of mind. And the sensations when I made my debut were very good. I love the game, its very good for me.Q: Flyer on the left.A: Gustavo Assunção is the captain, he helped me a lot, I get along very well with him. In the beginning, when I started in soccer I played as a six, but I liked to play later on. And where I am most comfortable is as a left midfielder.Q: Evolution this seasonA: João (coach) asked me where I liked to play, I told him that as a left midfielder and he said: 'that's where I want you to play'. This season we have to set ourselves strong goals, enter Europe and we have to think big and go game by game.Q: The city and partners.A: I love the city, the people are very friendly. The ones I get along with the most are Gustavo, Edwin Herrera, Dani Morer and Calvin. I am living with my father, who is here with me and we are both in a house.Q: Which player in the squad has surprised you the most?A: When I arrived I was very surprised by Rúben Lameiras because he has a lot of quality, a lot of dribbling.Q: The Portuguese League.A: I am loving it, I would define it as pure spectacle. In the games there are many occasions, many goals, it is rare that in a game they are 0-0. And in front of the public it's quite good. I feel very comfortable.
