Violence breaks out in the Paris suburb of Nanterre, where several thousand people were marching in tribute to 17-year-old Nahel who was killed by a police officer during a traffic stop on Tuesday. Scuffles broke out, with fireworks being fired, to which the police responded with tear gas. Several fires were lit in the vicinity of the prefecture and cars were set alight. IMAGES
Hundreds march in Boston, Massachusetts on the third straight night of nationwide demonstrations to protest over the lack of criminal charges in the police killing of Breonna Taylor. Taylor, a 26-year-old black emergency room technician, was shot dead in Louisville, the largest city in Kentucky, on March 13 after three plainclothes policemen executing a search warrant burst into her apartment in the middle of the night. The deadly shooting at the Allenby Bridge Crossing, also known as King Hussein Crossing, comes amid surging violence in the West Bank, with major Israeli military raids and attacks by Palestinians. The surrounding area of the Israeli Consulate in Munich has been cordoned off as investigations continue after a gunman was shot dead by police. The gunman, an 18-year-old Austrian man, had opened fire with a vintage rifle near the institution in what authorities treated as a foiled attack on the diplomatic mission. IMAGES
