Berlin, May 22 (EFE/EPA).-The German Bundesliga soccer match between Hertha BSC and 1. FC Union Berlin was played on Friday behind closed doors in Berlin to avoid the contagion of COVID-19.The Bundesliga and Second Bundesliga is the first professional sports league in Germany to resume the season after the nationwide lockdown due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Germany has so far recorded nearly 180,000 cases of coronavirus with 8,352 deaths. (Camera: OMER MESSINGER).     Berlin, Jun 23 (EFE/EPA).- The Olympic Stadium in Berlin was illuminated Wednesday night with the colors of the LGTBIQ flag on the occasion of the UEFA EURO 2020 group F preliminary round soccer match between Germany and Hungary in Munich. UEFA on Tuesday rejected a request from the city of Munich to illuminate the Allianz Arena in rainbow colors for that match. The move was seen as a protest against a new law in Hungary that bans anyone under 18 from sharing content, which the government believes promotes homosexuality or gender change.
