Murder trial of Russian regional governor Furgal begins in Moscow

The trial of a popular governor of a region in Russia's Far East, Khabarovsk, begins in a Moscow district court. Sergei Furgal, 50, was arrested on suspicion of ordering the murder of several businessmen 15 years ago. Authorities are probing two murders -- including the fatal shooting of Furgal's former business partner Oleg Bulatov in 2005 -- and one attempted murder. IMAGES

    Krestina and Angelina Khachaturyan appear in court for a hearing ahead of a trial on murder charges after them and their sister killed their father Mikhail in July 2018. Krestina, Angelina and Maria Khachaturyan together stabbed their father to death in July 2018 at their home in Moscow after he subjected them to rape and abuse and prevented them from attending school.
