Abidjan,Jul 14 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Legnan Koula) The hearse with the mortal remains of late prime minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly led the parade out of the presidential palace in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, 14 July 2020. A tribute is paid to Coulibaly at the Presidential Palace to kick off the national funeral proceedings scheduled from 14 to 17 July. Ivory Coast's prime minister and 2020 presidential candidate Gon Coulibaly died on 08 July 2020 at the age of 61.FOOTAGE OF THE FUNERAL.

Hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital to pray for the king in the days leading up to his death after news of his deteriorating health became public. Many in the crowd broke down in tears once the announcement of his death was made. Prime Minister Chan-ocha informed the Thai people that the king's successor would be Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and announced that Thailand would hold a one-year period of mourning, reducing entertainment-related events and activities for one month.. The Crown Prince is the only son of King Bhumidol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit.
