Iranian prisoner of war remembers Iran-Iraq conflict

Tehran (Iran), Oct 5 (EFE), (Camera: Marina Villén).- Abdolhamid Shamsollahi left his studies to fight the war. He was detained by Iraqi troops and spent almost nine years in prison.Four decades after the start of the Iraq-Iran war, he keeps the same spirit of resistance despite the hardships suffered. Shamsollahi was captured during the Operation Ramadan, launched by Iran in 982 near the Iraqi city of Basra.   • Iranian strikes hit target south of Arbil

    Smoke billows on the horizon in the village of Altrun Kupri, in the Sherawa region, south of Arbil in Iraq's Kurdistan, where a base of the Kurdistan Freedom Party is located. Two people were killed in Iranian cross-border strikes against military bases in Iraqi Kurdistan belonging to the Kurdish Democratic Party of Iran, according to the KDPI.
