When Defense Secretary Mark Esper was 'terminated' from his position by President Donald Trump on Monday, lawmakers sounded the alarm. Esper, Trump's fifth defense secretary, was replaced with National Counterterrorism Center Director Christopher Miller in an acting capacity. Three doctors spoke to Business Insider about the projection that Joe Biden has won the election. They are hopeful he will be spearheading the country's coronavirus response as of 2021. They are also hopeful that Biden will have science-led approach to the coronavirus. This would be "less stressful for healthcare providers", according to reports at Business Insider. But some are disheartened that the country's poor handling of COVID-19 did not change voting. Many assumed the mishandling under Trump would drive more voters to vote for Biden.
Biden has stuck to socially distanced gatherings with small crowds segregated in their cars right up to the last moment -- in contrast to Trump's large rallies where few supporters bother with masks.
