Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Thursday he spent 7 days in an ICU before recovering from COVID-19. CNN reports Christie issued a statement detailing the severity of his case. It also urged people to take the pandemic seriously. Christie had coached President Donald Trump multiple times for his first debate with Democratic challenger Joe Biden. Christie tested positive a day after Trump announced he and first lady Melania Trump had both tested positive for the virus. Christie sheepishly admitted he'd made a mistake in choosing to believe the White House was a safe place, and regretted not wearing a mask at a Rose Garden event. Now, Business Insider reports Wallace says he was 'pissed off' by the behavior of Trump's family entourage. Upon being seated at the debate, Trump family members had removed their masks, violating agreed-upon debate rules. After I had the luxury to think about it, I was pissed off. Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie was released from the hospital on Saturday. Business Insider reports Christie emerged after a week-long stay to fight COVID-19. Christie aided President Trump in debate preparations and attended the White House Rose Garden event announcing the president's Supreme Court nominee. Dr. Anthony Fauci has since labeled the gathering at the Rose Garden 'a super-spreader event.' Christie said that he would reveal more about his current condition in the coming days. Fox News anchor and moderator of Tuesday's presidential debate, Chris Wallace is blowing the whistle on President Donald Trump and the Trump family. Wallace said Trump and his family did not arrive in Cleveland early enough to get tested for the coronavirus before the start of the debate. There was an honor system when it came to the people that came into the hall from the two campaigns. Wallace said that despite having agreed to wear masks throughout the debate, the Trump family removed theirs shortly after sitting down. Trump's opponent, Former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, have both tested negative for the virus. Trump is currently being treated at Walter Reed Military Hospital. He will make no further public appearances until further notice.
