Former Trump administration cybersecurity official Chris Krebs is considering taking legal action against Joe diGenova. Krebs drew President Donald Trump's wrath when he defied Trump's claims of voter fraud, saying the 2020 election 'was the most secure in American history.' DiGenova is a Trump campaign lawyer, who Trump recruited after seeing him on Fox News. In an interview on 'The Howie Carr Show' on Monday, diGenova pubicly called Krebs an 'idiot' and a 'class-A moron,' and called for his execution. ...He should be drawn and quartered. Business Insider reports the Trump campaign has purged attorney Sidney Powell from its legal team. Last week, Powell baselessly alleged a global conspiracy to steal the 2020 US presidential election from President Donald Trump. The conspiracy, Powell claimed, involved hacking voting machines and former Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez. Chavez, a communist, died in 2013. That dubious claim was then promoted on social media by the Republican Party. On Sunday, the campaign issued a statement asserting that Powell 'is practicing law on her own.' President Donald Trump's campaign and Republican officials have filed nearly two dozen lawsuits since Election Day. It's an attempt to contest the results of the 2020 election. But according to Business Insider, none of the lawsuits so far have ended in victory. The campaign filed lawsuits and motions to intervene in cases in swing states Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. They've notched zero victories, 19 cases where they've withdrawn or lost. Three cases remain pending. The Boy Scouts of America will be facing at least 82,000 claims of abuse. CNN reports that former scouts have submitted legal filings against the Boy Scouts. The estimate of victims was made by a spokeswoman for the legal team representing the alleged survivors. The deadline for submitting claims in the proceedings is 5 p.m. ET Monday. "We are devastated by the number of lives impacted by past abuse in scouting and moved by the bravery of those who have come forward," a BSA statement said. CNN reports the Boy Scouts will file for bankruptcy so it does not have to pay any of the victims a settlement.
