Russell Crowe To Portray Roger Ailes In New Showtime Series

Broadcastingcable reports that Showtime has ordered a limited series based on the book 'The Loudest Voice in the Room', which centers on the rise and fall of Fox News founder Roger Ailes. Academy Award winner Russell Crowe has already been cast to play Ailes, who passed away last year, in the series - which will consist of 8 episodes. David Nevins, president and CEO of Showtime said Monday, "In many ways, the collision between the media and politics has come to define the world we live in today. With Russell Crowe in the lead role, this limited series promises to be a defining story for this era."
