Microsoft's 'Halo' To Be Adapted Into A Live Action TV Show

According to a report by Buzz Feed News, Showtime announced on Thursday that a show based on Microsoft's popular video game series, Halo, will be coming to the network in a 10-episode series of the same name. The network announced that the live action series would be comprised of 10 hourlong episodes, and that Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt has signed on to direct multiple episodes, and will also be serving as an executive producer. David Nevins, president and CEO of Showtime Networks, said in a statement, "Halo is our most ambitious series ever, and we expect audiences who have been anticipating it for years to be thoroughly rewarded." Production is scheduled to begin in 2019.
