An animal rescue centre and a local fire department work together to stop stray cats from drowning in a river in Sacramento
Video courtesy of the Shendiac Fire Department show the moment when firefighters came to the rescue of an adventurous moose from a frozen river in New Brunswick on Saturday, after the animal skated out on to thin ice and got trapped in the freezing waters after breaking through the river’s surface. Half a dozen volunteer firefighters pulled the moose from Shediac River after its near-death experience.

The crew of 'Truck 3' went into the home to find the cat, named Cleo, but came back empty handed the first time. Firefighters entered the house once more and discovered the feline lying senseless in the basement on the second trip. After using a special oxygen mask for animals, Cleo started regaining its senses after 30 minutes.
Rescuers work in the Solomyansky district of Kyiv after a barrage of Russian missile attacks killed four people, including one in Kyiv, and wounded 27 others in the capital, according to officials.
