North Korea's state broadcaster shows images of a vast military parade for the founding anniversary of North Korea's armed forces. Leader Kim Jong Un said at the parade the country will rapidly accelerate the development of its nuclear arsenal, state media reported. IMAGES
Seoul, Jul 7 (EFE/EPA).- South Korean protesters on Tuesday rallied in Seoul against a visit by the US Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun. Biegun is scheduled to arrive in Seoul on Tuesday for discussions on the stalled nuclear talks and current tension with North Korea.Protesters were demanding the dissolution of the US and South Korea working group. During his three-day visit, Biegun is scheduled to meet South Korea’s chief nuclear negotiator Lee do-hoon and Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha to discuss the situation in the region after Pyongyang recently cut all communication with Seoul and blew up the inter-Korean liaison office on its territory.Biegun may also meet with the newly appointed national security advisor and former head of South Korea's main intelligence service, Suh Hoon.
