Oprah Winfrey Honors Her Late Mother Vernita Lee

Oprah Winfrey's mother, Vernita Lee, died on Thanksgiving at her home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was 83 years old. Oprah took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the messages of support she's received following her mother's death. She said the "kind words and condolences" have given her family "great comfort." Oprah said her mother "lived a good life and is now at Peace." According to the family, private funeral services have already taken place.
