Bangkok, Sep 24 (EFE), (Camera: Diego Azubel).- Hundreds of protesters on Thursday gathered in front of the Thai parliament to demand democratic reforms while lawmakers debated a series of proposals to amend the constitution.The demonstration, organized by student groups that have been leading an anti-government protest movement since July 18, demanded a reform of the constitution drafted by a military junta that ruled the country after a coup in 2014 until last year.More than 30,000 people had joined a similar protest in Bangkok over the weekend.FOOTAGE OF THE PROTEST ON THURSDAY IN BANGKOK.

Citizens of Charlotte continued to take to the streets in response to the fatal police shooting of unarmed African American Keith Scott on Tuesday after a week of protests have rocked the city after the release of full police dash-cam and body-cam footage of Lamont’s death. A march and a candlelight vigil were held to honour the deceased 43-year-old, as well as protester Justin Carr, who was shot dead during demonstrations against Scotts’ killing in unconfirmed circumstances. The previous scale of protests and riots in response to the shooting prompted North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory to deploy the National Guard and declare a state of emergency, which has since been rescinded.
Scores of students held a die-in at Charlotte University on Wednesday, to protest the police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott, who was killed in the city on Tuesday evening. The 43-year-old’s death ignited protests across the city. Students wore t-shirts with slogans written upon reading: “we gon’ be alright” and “Black Lives Matter.”
