Michael Douglas Reveals There's Been Talk of 'Ant-Man 3'

Description

According to ComicBook.com, Veteran actor, Michael Douglas, is best known to Marvel Cinematic Universe fans for playing Hank Pym in Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp, revealed that there’s been discussion surrounding another Ant-Man movie. Douglas said during a Television Critics Association set visit, "There's been talk [about another Ant-Man]... [but] there's been nothing formal right now that I know of. They always kind of spring it on me. The first time you hear about it, it's already in its third rewrite.” Douglas’ character was last seen turning to dust in the mid-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp. While it’s safe to assume most victims of the Thanos snap will make a return. However, Douglas is not expected to show up in Avengers: Endgame. Ant-Man and the Wasp is currently streaming on Netflix. Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to arrive in theaters on April 26th.

Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp took care of business over the weekend at the box office. I predicted last week that there would be no more $100 million openings this summer, but if any movie could do it, it would be the Ant-Man sequel (or the next Mission Impossible movie). Ant-Man and the Wasp fell short of that mark, but with $76 million, it came right in line with expectations and seriously improved upon the opening weekend of the original ($57 million).

While audiences didn’t have to watch Ant-Man to enjoy Captain America: Civil War, it sure did help to know why Paul Rudd’s charming size-shifter was on The Falcon’s radar. The knowledge that any Marvel Studios film might feature a meaningful, in-canon cameo from any other hero provides that extra bit of nerdy incentive to keep up with every hero’s journey.
