The recuperation system provides for variable regulation of energy recuperation between both electric modules—both in coasting mode when the driver releases the right-hand pedal as well as during braking.
This technical animation shows the function of brake blending and recuperation in the Audi Q6 e-tron. Around 95 percent of all braking processes in everyday driving can be covered by recuperation and thus contribute to the efficeincy and range of the vehicle.
This animation illustrates the composition and function of the "digital stage" in the Audi Q6 e-tron with the curved MMI panoramic display and the optional MMI front passenger display and augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD).
Depending on the driving situation, the electrohydraulically integrated brake control system decides – electrically on each individual axle – whether the Audi e-tron will decelerate using the electric motor, the wheel brake, or a combination of the two.
The animation explains the brake-by-wire system of the Audi e-tron.
