Chris Brown Sues Woman For Slander After Rape Accusation

Description

Chris Brown filed a legal complaint for defamation on Thursday after a woman accused him of rape in Paris. Reuters reports the 29-year-old singer denies the accusation. Brown was released after one night in police custody. No charges were brought against him. Brown's attorney said, “Chris Brown has lodged a complaint with the Paris public prosecutor for slanderous accusations, so that an investigation can be conducted." Earlier this week, Brown, his bodyguard and a friend were detained after a 24-year-old woman accused Brown of raping her at his Mandarin Oriental hotel on the night of Jan. 15. His attorney added, “Chris Brown affirms that there was no sexual relationship with the complainant."
