Depuis 2019, l'atelier de menuiserie Jambe de Bois flotte sur le canal de la Somme à Sain-Valery-sur-Somme. Cette péniche franco-belge de 1967 est aménagée en 4 espaces pour que les 4 salariés puissent travailler le bois dans les 200 m². Ce projet a un intérêt commercial et pratique pur les clients plaisanciers qui peuvent venir accoster à bord de l'atelier. L'activité de l'entreprise Jambe de Bois est composée de 60% de menuiserie navale et de 40% dans le bâtiment, notamment la restauration patrimoniale. L'entreprise envisage à l'avenir de recentrer son approvisionnement de bois massif au niveau local.
