In 2019, Alpine begins the seventh campaign of its contemporary Endurance programme. Entered under the Signatech Alpine Elf banner, the no. 36 Alpine A470 competes in the LMP2 category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC).Eight teams are entered in this category for the full season. The competition will be even stiffer in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with some 20 cars expected to contest the season finale in June 2020.Crowned in 2016 and 2018-2019, the Signatech Alpine Elf team is among the favourites for the title.

Following a strong debut season in 2017, the Brazilian has become one of the pillars in the team to which he brings his determination to win.- Thomas Laurent. The highly promising French Endurance driver made his breakthrough in 2017 and returns to the team where he first drove an LMP2 car.- Pierre Ragues. A major player in the 2013 ELMS title campaign, Pierre returns to Alpine with his vast experience and versatility.

  • New dress for the Porsche 911 RSR

    Porsche puts its faith in the brand-new 911 RSR (2019 model year) to defend the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) title. The race car complying with the FIA GTE regulations is a completely new development. The vehicle from Weissach has undergone improvements in all areas and will replace the successful 911 RSR with which Porsche won the manufacturers’ and drivers’ world championship in the FIA WEC as well as the Le Mans endurance classic (France) and the IMSA races at Sebring and Road Atlanta (Petit Le Mans) amongst other events in 2019.

Entered under the banner of the Signatech Alpine Matmut team, the Alpine A470 will race with the number 36 on the entry list of the FIA WEC World Championship in the LMP2 category.
