BWT Alpine F1 Team and data.ai are excited to announce that data.ai will be an official partner and digital data partner of the team for the 2022 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The new partnership will see data.ai showcased on the team’s livery of the A522, its driver overalls as well as select team branding at several races during the 2022 season.data.ai is the first company to combine consumer and market data to fuel digital insights applying the power of artificial intelligence to illuminate digital opportunities. In 2019, Alpine begins the seventh campaign of its contemporary Endurance programme. Entered under the Signatech Alpine Elf banner, the no. 36 Alpine A470 competes in the LMP2 category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC).Eight teams are entered in this category for the full season. The competition will be even stiffer in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with some 20 cars expected to contest the season finale in June 2020.Crowned in 2016 and 2018-2019, the Signatech Alpine Elf team is among the favourites for the title.The 2019-2020 team is composed of:- André Negrão. Following a strong debut season in 2017, the Brazilian has become one of the pillars in the team to which he brings his determination to win.- Thomas Laurent. The highly promising French Endurance driver made his breakthrough in 2017 and returns to the team where he first drove an LMP2 car.- Pierre Ragues. A major player in the 2013 ELMS title campaign, Pierre returns to Alpine with his vast experience and versatility.

From the announcement in February 2021 of Ferrari’s return to the top endurance class up until its debut in the Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship on 17 March 2023, the 499P has passed through several development stages. It was a team effort involving over 30 engineers.The test circuits were chosen according to their characteristics and to maximise the limited time available: Fiorano, Imola, Mugello and Vallelunga; plus Paul Ricard, Aragon and Portimão (three European tracks suitable for endurance tests). Portimão will also host a round of the WEC, as will Monza and Sebring. The two cars had covered a total of over 24,000 kilometres before March.Continuous interaction between the digital and real ‘world’ made it possible to fine-tune the 499P’s various components, using two cars simultaneously and employing a team of 30 engineers. During development, track work accounts for about 70% of the effort, and the remaining 30% occurs in the simulator.
The FIA World Endurance Championship season got underway at Sebring International Raceway which hosted the two-day Prologue featuring four Ferrari 488 GTEs. The tests, in which the 499Ps in the Hypercar category also took part, anticipate the 1000 Miles, the first round of the championship which will be contested on Friday, 17 March on the 6.019 kilometre American track.
