Début juillet 2025, João Nazareno Roque, un informaticien brésilien employé chez C&M Software, a été arrêté pour avoir vendu l’accès aux systèmes de son entreprise pour 2 300 euros via WhatsApp. Cette entreprise joue un rôle central dans le système financier du Brésil en assurant la connexion entre la Banque centrale et le réseau de paiement instantané PIX, utilisé par une large majorité de la population. Grâce à ces accès, des hackers ont lancé une attaque dans la nuit du 30 juin au 1er juillet, détournant près de 90 millions d’euros, dont environ la moitié a pu être gelée par la police. João a reconnu avoir agi par pur opportunisme, tandis que son entreprise affirme que la compromission est uniquement humaine, et non liée à une faille technique. L’incident a entraîné la suspension temporaire de certains services PIX, relançant des inquiétudes sur la sécurité du système de paiement brésilien. L’enquête se poursuit pour retrouver d’éventuels complices...
