This adorable bride and groom said "I woof" during a group pet wedding in the Peruvian capital of Lima on Saturday. Dozens of dogs and cats dressed in white wedding gowns and black tuxedos got married, much to their owners' delight. Smartphones were out as owners snapped photos of the heart-melting pet wedding ceremony and uploaded to social media. Some owners even brought wedding cakes to help the new animal couples celebrate coming together in holy matrimony.
Proud mama panda bear Shin Shin munched on bamboo as her new baby panda cub named Xiang Xiang was unveiled to the public at Tokyo's Ueno Zoo on Monday. Journalists and a group of school children were able to get a glimpse of the six-month-old baby cub playing and climbing a tree. This marks the first time in almost three decades that a panda cub at Ueno Zoo has lived to see six months.
A hungry and scared orphan elk calf wandered into a backyard of some residents in the Russian town of Bogotolski, who then alerted authorities. Footage released by Bogotolski police department on Thursday shows the moments when local police helped staff from the Ministry of Environmental Protection deliver the jittered critter to his new home at the Krasnoyarsk Zoo. The baby elk was named Nad and seems to be loving his new home.
The unlikeliest of friendships sprung up when a goat, a guinea pig and a porcupine were put in pens next to one another in Ufa Zoo in Russia. The trio made themselves at home in each other's company, and after several months, they now eat out of the same bowl, sleep next to one another and even share the occasional kiss.
Two extremely cute seal pups from Kaliningrad Zoo were reunited with wild nature on Wednesday after zookeepers brought the little animals in wooden shipping boxes to the water's edge on the southern coast of the Baltic Sea. The adorable cubs seemed confused at first as they began crawling around the boxes, but eventually dived into the water and appeared to be swimming strongly.
Four adorable white lion cubs, two boys and two girls, were born at the Taigan Safari Park in the Crimean town of Belogorsk on Thursday. By a cute coincidence, the rare cubs, which are named Tsar, Director, Mathilda and Nyasha-Nevsmenasha, were born on World Lion Day, which takes place on August 10. White lions are critically endangered, with estimates saying there may be as few as 300 in the world.
