Psaki also revealed that VP-elect Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff, will receive their vaccinations the week after the Bidens. The Pfizer vaccine requires two doses given to patients several weeks apart. Business Insider said the Pfizer has been found to be 94.5% effective. On December 18, VP Mike Pence, second lady Karen Pence, and Surgeon General Jerome Adams received the vaccine on-camera.

President Trump has asked the Supreme Court to block millions of votes from four battleground states. According to CNN, the four states predominantly voted for President-elect Joe Biden. Trump's request was made in a filing with the court. The lawsuit is being brought by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. In the suit, Paxton and President Trump are seeking to invalidate millions of votes. The four states that are at the center of the request are Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
(CNN)The General Services Administration has informed President-elect Joe Biden that the Trump administration is ready to begin the formal transition process, according to a letter from Administrator Emily Murphy sent Monday afternoon and obtained by CNN. The letter is the first step the administration has taken to acknowledge President Donald Trump's defeat, more than two weeks after Biden was declared the winner in the election. The move will allow the transition to officially begin, permitting current administration agency officials to coordinate with the incoming Biden team, and providing millions in government funding for the transition.

"President-elect Biden will be announcing members -- Cabinet nominees this week. He's looking forward to that, to introducing members of his team to the public," Jen Psaki, who oversees Biden's nominations team, told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union." Psaki noted on Sunday that without the formal transition process underway, "FBI background checks cannot happen" for Biden's Cabinet picks.
