Moscow, Jan 21 (EFE/EPA).- Russian communists commemorated Thursday the 97th death anniversary of the founder of the former Soviet Union, Vladimir Lenin, near his mausoleum in Moscow.Lenin, who died in 1924, was placed in the mausoleum despite his wish to be buried near his mother at Volkovo cemetery in St. Petersburg.
