Trump's legal team says accusation of incitement is 'absurd'

Description

It is "patently absurd on its face" to claim that Donald Trump incited the deadly riot at the Capitol on January 6 in an attempt to prevent the certification of the presidential election results, says lawyer Michael van der Veen as he addresses Senators at the second impeachment trial of the former US president in Washington. Trump's lawyers concluded their presentation in roughly three hours.

Christie told Martha Radditz on ABC's 'This Week' that the team's approach to overturning the election results was 'an absurdity.'
