Streets in Yangon are empty as Myanmar marks the second anniversary of the coup that toppled Aung San Suu Kyi's government. Activists called for people across the country to close businesses and stay indoors from 10 am (0330 GMT) to 4 pm. Mandalay, May 26 (EFE/EPA).- At least 73 children have died in Myanmar due to brutal repression by the security forces against any hint of opposition after the military coup on Feb. 1, the dissident National Unity Government (NUG) denounced on Wednesday.The deaths of 63 boys, nine girls and one minor of unidentified gender were recorded between Feb. 15 and May 15, said the self-proclaimed democratic government, made up of activists and politicians elected during the November elections, whose result is not recognized by the Myanmar military.
