Senator Hélène Conway-Mouret explains French citizens' lack of confidence in their government

Description

No escaping a new Paris lockdown? Emmanuel Macron had held off on weekend confinement for the French capital but with area hospitals swamped by a new Covid spike, the President can no longer avoid tough choices in a nation racing to contain new strains of the coronavirus... and slow, very slow in its vaccine rollout. Is this unforeseen pandemic too tough for any leader to manage... or could the French state have learned better from the first wave of one year ago? At the time, it fumbled logistics on testing, face masks and its messaging was criticized as confusing and inconsistent. Thus creating trust issues among the population, as says our guest Hélène Conway-Mouret.
