Mandalay, Apr 13 (EFE/EPA) .- Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Mandalay again on Monday despite the military junta crackdown. The civilian death toll from the junta's brutal crackdown on unarmed dissent climbed past 700 at the weekend but protests continue to defy the military throughout the country. The Army justifies the coup due on an alleged electoral fraud in November’s general elections, in which the party led by the deposed leader Aung San Suu Kyi won a landslide during polls considered legitimate by international observers.
