Bangkok, Dec 28 (EFE/EPA).- After months of zero reported local COVID-19 infections, Thailand is now tackling an outbreak with its source tracked to a wholesale shrimp market in Samut Sakhon province, which has seen infections reach 43 provinces. Several regional governments in Thailand announced measures such as temporarily closing businesses and imposing travel restrictions in order to try to control an uptick of Covid-19 cases in the country since last week.     Bangkok, Jul 20 (EFE/EPA).- Thailand has tightened lockdown measures for 13 high-risk provinces, including Bangkok, in order to curb a surge in COVID-19 cases that spiked in recent weeks. Starting on 20 July 2021, with strict health measures, people are not allowed to go outdoors unless necessary, movements in the high-risk provinces will be restricted and shopping malls will stay closed. People are encouraged to work from home and dine-in services at restaurants are banned. Hundreds of construction sites will also close. Supermarkets and pharmacies will stay open until 8pm, with a curfew starting from 9pm to 4am.
